Sustainability is a central component of Craftsman Fronberg Guss GmbH's corporate strategy and is firmly anchored in all our processes. As a traditional iron foundry with a forward-looking approach, we have always been committed to the responsible use of the environment, energy and resources. This commitment shapes all of our company's activities – from the development of durable cast products and efficient production processes to sustainable corporate management.
Our goal is to manufacture high-quality cast iron solutions in an economically efficient, resource-saving and environmentally friendly manner, thereby making an active contribution to sustainability in the foundry industry.
For us, sustainability is more than just a claim. Companies and employees jointly take responsibility for the environment and future generations. Through the conscious use of resources, continuous process optimisation and the use of modern technologies, we are reducing our environmental impact in a sustainable manner.
The continuous improvement of our environmental performance is an integral part of our operational and strategic management. The focus is on measures to improve air quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, avoid waste and use natural resources sustainably.
An environmental management system in implementation ensures that processes are continuously reviewed and optimised. Where environmental impacts cannot be completely avoided, we use the best available technology from an economically reasonable perspective.
Energy efficiency plays a central role in iron foundries. Our sustainable energy policy is based on an energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2018. Energy consumption is continuously evaluated in relation to production output. Energy flows are systematically recorded, documented and archived.
Right from the planning, procurement and implementation stages of plants and processes, we focus specifically on energy-efficient technologies to increase energy-related performance and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
For us, sustainability also encompasses social responsibility. Occupational safety, health care, and the qualification and further training of our employees are integral parts of our corporate culture. As a company with regional roots, we stand for long-term, responsible cooperation.
